ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – On Thursday, Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri announced that his visit to Iraq aims to "strengthen the bonds of comprehensive cooperation with Iraq."

He emphasized that there is no hesitation or inaction in this area, stating, "We have the will and determination in Iran at the highest levels, and this is what we see in Iraq as well."

During a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, in Baghdad, Bagheri described Iran and Iraq as "two essential pillars in consolidating security and stability in the region." He called on Islamic and Arab countries to use their energies and capabilities to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.

"The relations between Iran and Iraq are strong, solid, comprehensive, and deep. We have emphasized that there are great points and commonalities between us, and if we want to search for the differences between us, we must use a magnifier to find them," Bagheri stated.

He further highlighted the joint responsibility of Iran and Iraq to enhance security and peace in the region, saying, "Iran and Iraq are two basic pillars in this region, and we have a joint responsibility to enhance security and peace and establish stability there."

Bagheri stressed the need to stop war crimes and genocide in Gaza, urging Islamic countries to utilize their energies and capabilities to halt these atrocities. "We stressed the need to stop war crimes and genocide in Gaza, and we agree that Islamic countries should use their energies and capabilities to stop these crimes," he said, adding, "We and Iraq agree on this matter and we are trying to use our energy and capabilities to support the oppressed Palestinian people."

He also warned of the potential for the conflict to expand, specifically referring to the possibility of an attack on southern Lebanon and the opening of a front with the Lebanese Hezbollah. "The Zionists may make another mistake by expanding the circle of war in the region," Bagheri noted.

The acting Iranian Foreign Minister concluded by calling for an immediate halt to the war crimes committed by the Zionist entity without any restrictions or conditions. "The war crimes committed by the Zionist entity must stop without any restrictions or conditions and as quickly as possible," he asserted.
