9 years passed by since genocide occurred in Kobani
The author Roni Ali stated “In Kobani, the ISIS terrorists killed hundreds of civilians. Kobani wasn’t protected, and a thorough investigation should have taken place, and immediately”
ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – 9 years passed by since hundreds of Kurdish people were massacred in Kobani (Rojava) the west part of Kurdistan at the hands of ISIS terrorists.
The experts urged the authorities to start an investigation about the horror actions happened at that time.
The author Roni Ali stated in an interview with the Kurdistan 24 “After Kobani was freed, the Kurdish people went back to their area of origin. Afterward, they were attacked and brutally killed in their homes, majority of the causalities were women and children. It should be questioned why the force that was there at the time, didn’t defend or prevent the genocide?”
He determined “Kobani wasn’t protected, and a thorough investigation should have taken place and immediately”
After the 134-day war, Kobani people were celebrating the freedom, yet Daesh (ISIS) raided and murdered hundreds of innocents in this city, on June 25, 2015.
In that brutal attack on Kobani city, 250 Kurdish civilians were killed at the hands of the ISIS’s terrorists, and 270 were left injured.
