Second Season of Establishing Legislation by Iraqi Parliament - House of Representatives
The member of the Iraqi Parliament’s Legal Committee al-Khafaji alerted “To those who are holders of this type of passport, themself and their families to retain it for life, and work with it, that is illegal and dangerous.”

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The second season of establishing legislation by the Iraqi Parliament started, the session, to set the laws and rules, has been arranged on Saturday July 20th 2024.
The Council of Representatives run a session today at 11:00 a.m. (Baghdad time), to debate Article 17 amendment, Bill 2 in 2016 which is dealing with the martyrdoms establishment. The bill has been introduced by the Martyrs, Victims and Political Imprisons Board.
The article 2 of the Bill that required assent which deals with the aviation services between Iraqi and Azerbaijani states, the bill was introduced by the Committee of Foreign Affairs
The third and fourth parts of the session which were proposed by the Defense and security Committee get debated.
In that part will be the second discussion that conferred a bill by the National Intelligence Agency. In addition, a second dispute takes place about the bill of the first amendment to passport law number 32 Year 2015.
The member of the Iraqi Parliament’s Legal Committee Mohammad Jassim al-Khafaji warned of such amendment to the diplomatic passport act.
On Friday, al-Khafaji issued an announcement regarding today’s parliamentary session “There is an intention of granting the diplomatic passports to officials, permanently,”
He further alerted “To those who are holders of this type of passport, themself and their families to retain it for life, and work with it, that is illegal and dangerous.”
He believed issuance of diplomatic passport relates to the period of and diplomatic roles and positions, it should terminate with job posts or position ending.
