Kurdistan Region submits July salary list to Iraqi Ministry of Finance

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Region has submitted the July salary list for civil servants, employees, Peshmerga, and other security agencies to the Iraqi Ministry of Finance. This was reported by Kurdistan24 correspondent Shvan Jabari.

On Sunday, the Iraqi Ministry of Finance began auditing the list sent by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

According to reports, the ministry aims to apply the same auditing mechanism used for the May and June salary lists to ensure a smooth process and avoid previous issues.

A high-level delegation from the Kurdistan Region, led by Awat Janab Noori, the Minister of Finance and Economy of the KRG, is in Baghdad to discuss various issues, including employee and security force salaries, the budget, and other matters with Iraqi government officials and the Federal Ministry of Finance.

On Tuesday, July 16, an amount of 676 billion and 36 million dinars was deposited in the KRG Ministry of Finance and Economy's account at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq. This sum covers the salaries for May and June for the Peshmerga forces and security agencies.

The Ministry of Finance and Economy began distributing these salaries on Wednesday, July 17, and continued the process through Thursday, July 18.

The Kurdistan Region has 1,114,194 salaried employees, with a total monthly salary expenditure of approximately 913 billion dinars, according to the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
