Iraqi FM arrives in Ankara for high-security talks

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in Ankara on Wednesday to participate in the fourth round of meetings of the Iraqi-Turkish joint security Committee. The visit marks a significant step in the ongoing dialogue between Iraq and Turkey on security cooperation.

The arrival in Ankara comes just days after Minister Hussein met with Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Interior Minister Rebar Ahmed in Erbil. The meeting, held on Sunday, was part of preparations for the high-stakes talks in Turkey, according to a statement from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

Discussions during the Ankara meetings are expected to focus on enhancing security collaboration between the two countries, addressing regional threats, and solidifying joint efforts to maintain stability in the region.
