ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - On Thursday, Sasan Awni, the Kurdistan Region's Minister of Municipalities and Tourism, held a meeting with the heads of departments within the General Directorate of Water and Sewerage, alongside Ari Ahmed, Director of the General Directorate of Water and Sewerage.
During the meeting, Minister Awni emphasized the Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) unwavering commitment to serving the citizens, despite the numerous obstacles, crises, and challenges it faces.
He highlighted that the KRG has remained resilient and continues to prioritize public service.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, Minister Awni stressed the critical importance of the water sector, noting that it is one of the most vital service sectors in the region.
He pointed out that the KRG allocates substantial financial resources annually to ensure the efficient functioning of this sector.
Minister Awni also reiterated that the KRG, under the leadership of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, is continuously striving for better outcomes and more ambitious goals to benefit the citizens of Kurdistan's cities and towns.
He emphasized that, despite facing significant opposition and crises, the ninth cabinet of the KRG has successfully delivered and continues to deliver essential services to the people.
