Sulaimani anti-narcotics operation nets two drug dealers, seizes 14kg of crystal meth

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – In an operation on Monday, the Kurdistan Region's Directorate of Combating Drugs announced that they have successfully apprehended two drug dealers following an armed confrontation in Sulaimani.
The General Directorate of Asayish in Sulaimani released a statement today, detailing the operation which took place at 9:00 am on Monday, in the Sarchinar neighborhood.
The operation, conducted in coordination with the Sulaimani Asayish Directorate and under the authorization of the security investigative judge, resulted in the arrest of two drug dealers who sustained injuries during the shootout.
A security officer was also injured during the clashes.
The statement further revealed that over 14 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were seized during the operation.
This successful operation underscores the ongoing commitment of the Kurdistan Region’s security forces to combat the illegal drug trade and protect the citizens of the Kurdistan Region.
