KRG Minister Awni urges accelerated land distribution to civil servants

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - Kurdistan Region Municipalities and Tourism Minister Sasan Awni convened a crucial meeting on Monday to expedite the process of allocating land to civil servants.

The meeting, attended by advisors, general managers, mayors, and zone mapping officials, aimed to review progress and streamline procedures.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Municipalities and Tourism, the meeting included a thorough assessment of land distribution efforts across various municipalities.

Encouragingly, data presented indicated substantial advancements in the process.

Minister Awni, recognizing the significance of land distribution for civil servants, urged all municipalities to expedite their preparations. He instructed those facing challenges to address them promptly, ensuring a smooth and timely distribution process.

The minister emphasized the need for civil servants to complete legal and administrative requirements, along with necessary land mapping, to benefit from the Kurdistan Regional Government's land allocation decision.

Minister Awni concluded the meeting by announcing a follow-up session scheduled for October 10, urging all parties involved to finalize their preparations by that date.
