Kurdish intellectuals in Europe unite against PKK, denounce its destructive practices
The signatories decry the PKK's history of human rights abuses, including the recruitment of child soldiers, the transformation of Kurdish cities into battlegrounds, and the use of civilians as human shields.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Tuesday in a powerful declaration, a group of Kurdish intellectuals, writers, and activists residing in European countries condemned the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for its violent and oppressive tactics.
The signatories decry the PKK's history of human rights abuses, including the recruitment of child soldiers, the transformation of Kurdish cities into battlegrounds, and the use of civilians as human shields.
“We, the undersigned intellectuals, writers, and people of opinion, and those working in the Kurdish public affairs, find it our duty to raise our voices loudly, and launch an "enough shout " in the face of the treasonous, authoritarian behavior, mentality, and practices of the Kurdistan Workers Party PKK,” the statement read.
They also accuse the PKK of exploiting European laws to carry out criminal activities and targeting dissidents both at home and abroad.
“We inform the European Governments that this group is exploiting European laws and the margin of European democracy to carry out criminal acts that are against the law, and contrary to the values, principles, morals, and standards and principles of democracy in force in EU countries,” the statement highlighted.
The statement emphasizes the Kurdish people's deep yearning for freedom and justice and calls on the PKK to cease its destructive practices. It also urges European governments to recognize the PKK's true nature and hold it accountable for its crimes.
The signatories declare that the voices of freedom and the free Kurds will always be louder than the PKK's weapons and threats. They assert that the PKK's reign of terror will not last forever and that the day of reckoning will come.

Against violence, terrorism and intimidation
To the Kurdish and International public
Throughout history, intellectuals, writers, and artists have disagreed on many ideas and orientations, and have dispersed on different and diverse ideological paths, perhaps sometimes contradictory, but their common denominator, their most lofty goal, and their most noble purpose has been and will remain freedom. Freedom for the intellectual self, provided that it is not a platform and means of eradicating the other and confiscating its right to criticism and difference. Freedom as the oxygen of life and the antidote to dignity and justice.
The Kurdish people, like all oppressed and suppressed peoples, are the most in need of liberation and freedom, whether inside their homeland, his historical land of Kurdistan, or in the diaspora, and because this suffer from injustice and the confiscation of public and individual freedoms, it is known who benefits from the Kurds remaining under injustice, tyranny and enslavement. The importance and utmost necessity of the emergence of a unified, comprehensive, solid and firm cultural position in the face of all fascist and obscurantist forces, religious and secular, that target the Kurdish person in his life, dignity, livelihood and freedom.
In light of the above, we, the undersigned intellectuals, writers, and people of opinion, and those working in the Kurdish public affairs, find it our duty to raise our voices loudly, and launch an "enough shout " in the face of the treasonous, authoritarian behavior, mentality, and practices of the Kurdistan Workers Party PKK, which target Kurdish society at the individual and family levels, and to denounce this group's commission of what amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity, such as kidnapping children (juveniles and minors) recruiting them into military entities affiliated with this armed group, turning Kurdish cities and towns into prisons and graves, digging underground tunnels, and using civilians as human shields. We condemn all the violent, provocative, absurd, and destructive practices committed by this group in all parts of Kurdistan.
At the same time, we inform the European Governments that this group is exploiting European laws and the margin of European democracy to carry out criminal acts that are against the law, and contrary to the values, principles, morals, and standards and principles of democracy in force in EU countries.
This partisan group, classified as a terrorist group in USA and the EU, is still free in these countries, targeting those who oppose, disagree and criticize it, whether through political liquidation through treason, defamation and tarnishing of reputation, or through physical assault, attempted assassination. The party's history is full of heinous crimes that targeted dissidents in the eighties and nineties of the last century.
We say to this group and all its loyalists, and to the cultural, media, military and security entities affiliated with it, in the homeland and diaspora. If the voices of your knives, rifles and treasonous mentality are loud, and have blinded your minds and hearts, then the voice of freedom and the free Kurds is much louder.
Your hands may reach the owners of free opinion and speech, but you will not be able to assassinate the ideas that seek freedom and call for it. Free opinion and free critical thought that is not compromising , not subjected to intimidation and humiliation, those opinions and thoughts will be the nightmare that haunts you, wherever you are.
The poisoning of societies and the creation of slaves by tyrannical regimes, cliques and military militias will not last forever. Hiding behind the masks of democracy, liberation and false freedom, the "democratic republic", the "democratic nation", the "ecological society"... and a lot of misleading slogans, will not continue forever.
Exploiting the blood of martyrs, playing with the emotions of their families, and using the sacrifices of Kurds within the "Kurdistan Workers Party" PKK, as a weapon against those who disagree with you will not continue indefinitely. Likewise, if you think that escaping the principle of legal accountability, whether in Kurdistan or the EU and USA, will continue indefinitely, then you are delusional.
