PM Masrour Barzani at HITEX2024 praises young volunteers, reaffirms support for youth

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - On Tuesday, the Kurdistan Region's Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today inaugurated the fifth Erbil International Technology Exhibition and Conference (HITEX2024), sponsored by Kurdistan24 Media.

Following the opening ceremony, he toured various sections of the exhibition, interacting with local and international technology companies and their latest products.

During his visit, the Prime Minister commended and expressed his admiration for the young volunteers who helped organize HITEX24. He further reiterated his commitment to empowering the youth of the Kurdistan Region.

Since assuming office, Prime Minister Barzani has championed youth development through strategic initiatives aimed at creating job opportunities and enhancing their skills.

This latest gesture underscores his ongoing dedication to fostering a bright future for the young generation in the Kurdistan Region.

Over 150 Companies from 21 Countries to Participate

"This year, more than 150 companies from 21 countries will participate in the exhibition. We expect over 50,000 visitors," Farhang Bradosti, the exhibition's director, told Kurdistan24.

Bradosti emphasized that HITEX provides a unique platform for businesses to showcase their latest products, services, and innovations.

The event fosters domestic and international business opportunities, enabling partnerships and government tenders. It also facilitates direct interaction between company representatives and customers.

Additionally, Bradosti pointed out the positive impact of HITEX on Erbil's tourism sector, as it annually attracts thousands of visitors from southern Iraq and the wider region.

What Sets HITEX 2024 Apart

Several key features distinguish this year's HITEX from previous editions:

 * New Product Launches: Companies will unveil several new products, including cutting-edge robots and smart devices.

 * Influential Speakers: The HITEX Conference will feature prominent global figures, many visiting the Kurdistan Region and Iraq for the first time.

 * Enhanced Conference Experience: A dedicated conference hall will provide an optimal environment for panel discussions.

 * Modern Opening Ceremony: The exhibition will kick off with a technologically advanced opening ceremony, featuring a digital tunnel.

Conference Theme: The Future Unlocked

Under the theme "The Future Unlocked," the conference comprises seven panels, three seminars, and two workshops, each day focusing on a specific topic such as agricultural technology, artificial intelligence, financial technology, and tech entrepreneurship.

Falling Walls Lab Erbil

For the first time, HITEX24 will host the Falling Walls Lab Erbil, organized by Open Space Academy in collaboration with Salahaddin University. This platform allows students and entrepreneurs to present their groundbreaking ideas in three minutes, providing an opportunity to showcase innovations with a positive impact on science and society.

Hitex Future Stars Program

The Hitex Future Stars program returns this year on a larger scale, with increased corporate support. This initiative aims to empower young entrepreneurs by providing them with a platform to present their projects to thousands of attendees. A dedicated section within HITEX will be reserved for these budding innovators.
