ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – On Tuesday, Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), received the newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, at his residence in Pirmam.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing key political issues in Iraq and the wider region.
According to a statement from Barzani's headquarters, the discussions included an exchange of views on the current political landscape in Iraq and the region.
Ambassador Inan expressed his pleasure at assuming his duties in Iraq, emphasizing Turkey’s desire to strengthen and expand relations with the Kurdistan Region, particularly in the areas of economy, trade, and mutual coordination.
During the meeting, Ambassador Inan also addressed the recent murder of a Kurdistan Region tourist in Turkey, offering his condolences to President Barzani and the victim's family.
