Iraqi Economic Council delegation arrives in Erbil
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is set to host a two-day meeting starting Sunday, bringing together the Iraqi Economic Council and the KRG Economic Council.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - A high-level delegation from the Iraqi Economic Council, led by Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Fuad Hussein, arrived in the Kurdistan Region on Saturday to participate in key discussions with Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) officials. The talks aim to address long-standing economic disputes between Erbil and Baghdad.
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is set to host a two-day meeting starting Sunday, bringing together the Iraqi Economic Council and the KRG Economic Council. The discussions will focus on resolving issues related to constitutional rights, financial entitlements, and the Kurdistan Region’s budget, in line with Iraq’s constitution.

- Hamid Naeem, Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers

- Ahmad Abdul Jabbar, Deputy Minister of Industry and Minerals

Ammar Khalaf, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, described the visit as an "important and positive step" towards resolving economic issues between Erbil and Baghdad. Khalaf emphasized that the delegation will engage in several crucial meetings with KRG officials during their stay.
