The Great September Revolution was voice of legitimate cause of people
The Kurdistan Region’s President, Nechirvan Barzani sent out a message in the remembrance of the Great September Revolution stated “the Great September Revolution was the voice of a legitimate cause of a people who made all sacrifices for the freedom”

The Kurdistan Regional Government President stressed the strong will of the Kurdish people to protect and obtain all their constitutional rights and solidarity with all its communities.

The full text of President Nechirvan Barzani’s message:
“The 63rd anniversary of the Great September Revolution, we remember the late Barzani, the revolution leader, and all the heroic Peshmerga and all those who were the strength and arms of the revolution with gratitude and glory, we remember them. Praises may be upon their souls, and greetings to all the fighters of that hard time who are still alive. We wish them long life and safety.
The Great September Revolution was the revolution of the entire Kurdish people, including all the components and communities. It became the essence of the national thought, identity, dignity of all Kurds and the ferrous will from the Kurdish people to fight against oppression colonizing.
The revolution was the freedom fighters and the legitimate cause of a people and a country’s dulcet voice that for freedom sacrificed everything. It became the foundation for the first official recognition of Kurdish people’s rights and all subsequent achievements.
While we, proudly celebrate this anniversary, we emphasize Kurdish people’s firm will to protect and achieve all their constitutional rights and unity among all its communities. We hold of the high principles and values from the revolution about the challenges, struggle for the sake of freedom and democracy also with hope and optimism, and until we achieve victory and make martyrs’ dreams real, towards a better future we will continue.
May the Great September Revolution stay superb, salute to the memory of Kurdistan’s martyrs and to their souls.”
