ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani will attend the Prophet Mohammad's birthday celebration in Erbil on Sunday afternoon, following his congratulatory message to Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and the world.

In his message, the Prime Minister expressed his hope that the occasion would foster happiness and strengthen the culture of unity, love, charity, and adherence to the peaceful values and morals of Islam.

The Prophet's birthday is being widely celebrated across the Kurdistan Region today, with Erbil, the capital, witnessing particularly vibrant festivities due to the historical significance of this commemoration in the city.

The market is adorned with posters and banners, and citizens from all over the city and surrounding areas gather at the Erbil Citadel to partake in the celebrations.

Numerous special religious ceremonies will be held in mosques across the city, accompanied by the distribution of sweets.
