Sulaimani shooting suspect apprehended after fatal altercation

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - The Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC) announced today the arrest of a suspect involved in a fatal shooting incident on Malik Mahmoud Street in Sulaimani.

According to the KRSC statement, an argument erupted between the occupants of two vehicles last night. The driver of one car then shot two individuals, resulting in the tragic death of one of the victims upon arrival at the hospital.

The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended five hours later by the Sulaimani Security Directorate.

Further investigation by Kurdistan 24 revealed that the dispute stemmed from the use of high beams. The deceased, unfortunately, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and passed away this morning at Anwar Sheikh Hospital in Sulaimani.
