ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Region's Prime Minister Masrour Barzani officially opened the Construct Iraq Exhibition, a major international trade fair dedicated to the construction and building industry, in Erbil on Tuesday.
The exhibition, showcasing the latest products and technologies in the construction and industrial sectors, features a diverse range of participants. More than 400 companies from both domestic and international markets are showcasing their offerings.
The breakdown of participating companies by country includes:
- China: 103 companies
- Iraq: 42 companies
- Kurdistan Region: 33 companies
- Turkey: 76 companies
- Iran: 60 companies
- Dozens of companies from other countries
The Construct Iraq Exhibition provides a vital platform for industry professionals, businesses, and government officials to connect, network, and explore potential collaborations. The strong representation from local and international companies underscores the growing interest and investment in the construction and building sectors in the Kurdistan Region.
The Prime Minister's presence at the inauguration further emphasizes the government's commitment to supporting economic development and infrastructure projects in the region.
Foreign and national investors have invested more than $16 bn in real estate, industry, health and other sectors across the Kurdistan Region since 2019.
