KRP Nechirvan Barzani meets with Sulaimani Governor, officials
The discussions focused on the general situation in Sulaimani, particularly regarding governance and public services, as well as preparations for the upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary elections and the start of the election campaign.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Tuesday, Kurdistan Region President (KRP) Nechirvan Barzani visited Sulaimani, where he held a key meeting with the governor of Sulaimani province, Haval Abubakir, and several officials from the province's administrative units.
The discussions focused on the general situation in Sulaimani, particularly regarding governance and public services, as well as preparations for the upcoming Kurdistan parliamentary elections and the start of the election campaign.
Officials also highlighted the needs of several development projects in the province.
President Nechirvan Barzani emphasized the importance of ensuring the success of the upcoming elections and conducting a fair and civilized campaign across Sulaimani and the Kurdistan Region. He pledged his support for the provincial administration and committed to addressing several of their demands.
Additionally, the meeting covered strategies for advancing various sectors within the province, alongside efforts to resolve challenges facing Sulaimani International Airport and other pressing provincial matters.
Barzani's visit underscores the Kurdistan Region’s focus on improving governance and infrastructure across its provinces ahead of the parliamentary elections.
