Allocated monthly basic food proportion, General Company for Trading Food, to include several new items

Each household in the country and region is entitled to that benefit regardless to their finance status, i.e being poor or rich you would still be entitled to get registered and receive the basket.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – One of the benefits that people are in receipt, which is, usually, on monthly basis, is the Basic Food Proportion or Rations.

The basic food includes flour, rice, cereal, grains, salt, sugar, broad beans, dried beans, peas, pulse in general and oil.

Not necessarily to receive the whole items every time, it depends on the economic situation and the circumstance in the country, as well as not necessarily to get it every month.

Each household in the country and region is entitled to that benefit regardless to their finance status, i.e being poor or rich you would still be entitled to get registered and receive the basket. 

However, there is a small fare to pay (750 dinars per an individual in the household) to the designated shopkeeper, the shopkeeper that the family is registered with.

They get instructions from the governmental sector what and how to process, their shops are based in avenues in which local families have already been registered with each one of those shops.  

According to an announcement made by the General Company for Trading Food at the Iraqi Ministry of Trade on Tuesday, the seventh basket of monthly basic food rations will be distributed next week.

The company that affiliates to the Iraqi Ministry of Trade, confirmed the basic food rations will be hand over next week, including some new crop food.

The pulse, grain products are said to have been added on to the list.

The items include four new items, some of which will be distributed for the first time, such as green, black lentils, split peas, and chick peas.
