ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared unwavering support for Hezbollah, stating that all forces within the Islamic Resistance Front across the region stand with the Lebanese group.

Khamenei’s remarks came on Saturday in response to recent Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, which claimed the lives of senior Hezbollah officials.

"The mass killing of Lebanese women, children, and civilians by Israel cannot weaken or destroy the solid structure of Hezbollah," Khamenei said, emphasizing the resilience of the group. "Israeli officials are too insignificant to cause serious damage to Hezbollah’s formidable infrastructure," he added.

Reiterating the broader alliance within the region, Khamenei stated, "All the forces of the Islamic Resistance Front are united in their support of Hezbollah. The fate of this region will be determined by the resistance forces, with Hezbollah leading the way."

Recent Israeli airstrikes have intensified in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah strongholds and resulting in the deaths of numerous high-ranking party officials.

On Friday evening, the Israeli air force bombed a Hezbollah meeting, reportedly led by Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.

In a statement released by the Israeli army, it was confirmed that Nasrallah, along with several senior Hezbollah military commanders, was killed in the airstrikes near southern Beirut.
