Kurdish wrestler claims gold in Russia
Twelve-year-old David Amoev, a Kurd and a native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, secured his first-place victory in the International Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Moscow on (WOLNIK 11 wrestling league Moscow) Sept. 29.
ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – A young Kurdish athlete from Kazakhstan has brought home a gold medal from an international wrestling tournament in Russia.
Twelve-year-old David Amoev, a Kurd and a native of Almaty, Kazakhstan, secured his first-place victory in the International Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Moscow on (WOLNIK 11 wrestling league Moscow) Sept. 29. Amoev defeated his Armenian opponent, Tigran Bagdasaryan, in a thrilling match to claim the top prize.
The talented young wrestler has a history of success in international competitions, having previously won two belts and numerous medals and titles.
