PHOTOS: KDP President Masoud Barzani visits Akre district

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) President Masoud Barzani visited Akre district on Sunday, touring key sites and engaging with local party officials, according to a statement from Barzani Headquarters.  

During his visit, Barzani explored several of Akre’s prominent tourist attractions and historical landmarks, underscoring the district’s rich cultural heritage and its growing importance as a tourist destination in the Kurdistan Region. Akre, known for its picturesque landscapes and historical significance, has been attracting more visitors in recent years, contributing to local economic growth.

Barzani also met with officials and members of the KDP’s 9th branch in Akre, where discussions centered on the party’s ongoing efforts in the district.
