ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — On Sunday, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received UAE Consul General Ahmed Ibrahim Saeed al-Dhaheri, in a farewell meeting marking the end of the diplomat's tenure in the region.

During the meeting at the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) headquarters, Prime Minister Barzani highlighted the robust relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates, expressing gratitude for al-Dhaheri's significant contribution to strengthening bilateral ties during his term.

"The Consul General has played a vital role in advancing our bilateral relations in recent years," Prime Minister Barzani noted, according to a government statement.

Al-Dhaheri characterized the UAE's relationship with the Kurdistan Region as "strategic" and emphasized his country's commitment to further strengthening cooperation and coordination across various sectors.
