Ministry of Interior in cooperation with BCF supported families affected by flood in Kirkuk

The aid packages included carpets, rugs, mattresses, blankets, food baskets, cleaning products and children's necessities.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced on Monday, that its Joint Crisis Coordination Center, in cooperation with the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF), delivered a humanitarian aid to families affected by the heavy rains in Shoraw avenues in Kirkuk city.

The Joint Crisis Coordination Center reported the teams from the Directorate of Migration and Displacement and Crisis Response in Kirkuk conducted a visit in the area to inspect the damage caused by the rains, in which flooded 15 homes.  

The aid packages included carpets, rugs, mattresses, blankets, food baskets, cleaning products and children's necessities.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Region, through the Joint Center, so far established five crisis response warehouses in the provinces and independent administrations in the region, with the aim of providing the necessary supply in emergency situations, with a support from Germany.
