Wednesday meeting for Council of Ministers chaired by PM Masrour Barzani

It followed the latest joint meeting arranged between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi Federal Governments, on October 31st, 2024, in Baghdad.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region Government, Masrour Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani will hold a meeting on Wednesday for the first time since, the session is considered as the first since the parliamentary general election of its sixth round in Kurdistan Region.

The Council of the Ministers is said to discuss three matters: 
In the first circle of the meeting, the latest developments regarding the general population census in Iraq.

It followed the latest joint meeting arranged between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi Federal Governments, on October 31st, 2024, in Baghdad.

Kurdish Ministers within the Iraqi Federal Government, the Iraqi Prime Minster, the President of the Republic of Iraq, Minister of Planning and Kurdish Delegates sent out by the Kurdistan Regional Government.

In the second part of the meeting, the latest outcomes related to the financial situation and salaries, the issue of (job-related numbering) of employees for the month of November, as well as the outcomes from the meetings were held before.

The third hub will debate the latest proposal from the Federal Government, regarding the amendment of Article (12) in the Federal Iraqi Budget Law.

The law confers on the resumption of oil exports also highlighting the latest meetings and negotiations with the Federal Oil Ministry and oil companies.
