Kurdistan Region Government meets with TBI

“We have only one branch in Kurdistan Region, and we will soon open two more branches in Duhok and Sulaimani” Shweli revealed.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Spokesperson of the Kurdistan Region Government, Peshawa Hawramani stated to Kurdistan 24 “in order to open a bank account to receive the salary through, for that reason a project has been created by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to its employees, and how the procedures work is to be within the framework of My Account project" 

He also stated "the two teams from the Kurdistan Regional Government and Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) are holding a meeting together on Thursday”

“My Account has those banks that have been approved by the Central Bank of Iraq i.e. do not have any issues,” Hawramani said

On Monday, November 4th, 2024, TBI Bank Consultant, Aqil Shweli told Kurdistan 24 “based on the decision from the Iraqi Federal Court and to salaried employees’ monthly income in the Kurdistan Region and upon the Iraqi Prime Minister’s recommendation, our bank signed the contract with the My Account project”

“We have only one branch in Kurdistan Region, and we will soon open two more branches in Duhok and Sulaimani” Shweli revealed.

He further explained that My Account project will install more cash machines (ATMs) to pay salaries to employees.

There are 34.000 local employees have been registered, about 10.000 subscribers have received their Master Cards.

Another extra 3900 cards have been dispatched to Erbil branch today.
