PM Barzani joins celebration of King Charles III's 75th birthday in Erbil

King Charles III, born on Nov. 14, 1948, at Buckingham Palace, was crowned on May 6, 2023, following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani attended the 75th birthday celebrations of King Charles III on Thursday, an event organized by the British Consulate General in Erbil. The ceremony marked the British monarch’s milestone anniversary and celebrated the strong relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom.

King Charles III, born on Nov. 14, 1948, at Buckingham Palace, was crowned on May 6, 2023, following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. As the grandson of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles was raised in the traditions of the British monarchy and educated at some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions. His education at Hill House School in London, Gordonstoun in Scotland, and later at Trinity College, Cambridge—where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history—helped shape his interests in environmental conservation and the arts.

The event highlighted the Kurdistan Region’s commitment to fostering diplomatic ties with international allies.
