Kurdistan Region parliament to convene first session of sixth term

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The first session of the sixth term of the Kurdistan Region parliament will be held soon, according to an announcement by Dilshad Shahab, spokesperson for the Kurdistan Region Presidency, on Sunday.
Shahab confirmed that the Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has officially approved the results of the recent parliamentary elections, paving the way for the new parliamentary term to begin.
Following the certification of the election results, Shahab outlined the procedural steps required under the region’s presidency law. "The President of the Kurdistan Region will issue an order in the near future to convene the first session of the sixth parliamentary term," Kurdistan Region Presidency spokesperson stated.
