Iraqi FM welcomed Israel-Lebanon ceasefire

In the announcement, the ministry reaffirmed Iraq’s changeless support to any international attempts for the stability in the region.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – In an announcement, on Wednesday, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, welcomed the announcement of a US-brokered ceasefire agreement between the Israeli army and Lebanese Hezbollah.

After more than a year of the October 7th, 2023 attack on Israel, the US managed to bring a ceasefire agreement to the table between the Israeli army and Lebanese Hezbollah which has been implemented on Wednesday morning.

In the announcement, the ministry reaffirmed Iraq’s changeless support to any international attempts for the stability in the region.

Furthermore, it called on for stronger support to stop and prevent any further war escalations as well as to guarantee a dignified life for the Lebanese.

The Foreign Ministry also urged for the international efforts to take serious and urgent steps to stop the massacre against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
