17th session of U.N. Forum on Minorities Issues

The first day of the 17th session of the United Nations forum on minorities problems began in Geneva, on Thursday, the panel focused on identifying the issues, challenges and obstacles, as well as it discussed the work and efforts to ensure and protect the rights of the minorities around the world.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – The Seventeenth session of the United Nation Forum on Minorities Issues holds two days, in Geneva, on November 28th and 29th, 2024. 

The first day of the 17th session of the United Nations forum on minorities problems began in Geneva, on Thursday, the panel focused on identifying the issues, challenges and obstacles, as well as it discussed the work and efforts to ensure and protect the rights of the minorities around the world.

It is understood that the panel discussion will be held on the work of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) too, furthermore, the protection of the rights of different communities in the region will be highlighted. 

As the forum announced, it is aiming to discuss the minorities issues and problems, highlighting the opportunities to protect their rights and implement the U.N. Universal Declaration on the rights.
