Iraqi employees, pensioners demand government raise their salaries, payments

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – According to the Iraqi media outlet, the Iraqi government is to cut (01%) of the employees and pensioners’ monthly salaries, to raise aid for the citizens of Lebanon and Gaza, who have been affected by the war.
However, the Iraqi governmental, public sector’s employees as well as pensioners expressed their concerns to the official media networks about the decision.
In a survey done, in Baghdad, by an Iraqi tv channel, to obtain the pensioners and employees’ views regarding the decision, the channel showed that the figures tell they are unhappy with such decision.

It also stressed that Iraqi employees and pensioners are in poor condition, especially lower-ranking employees.
According to the sources, the Iraqi people demanded the authorities to first adjust and raise their salaries.
They also called on the government to implement projects that are important to Iraqis instead of reducing their salaries and retirement monthly income.
