Diplomats to attend Kurdistan Region Parliament's opening
In the statement made by the Parliament Press Office, it was reported that 19 consuls and diplomats will attend the first session of the Parliament.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – 19 Consul Generals and diplomats are set to attend the opening of the first session of the Kurdistan Region’s sixth round of Parliament which is scheduled to convene today.
The session is scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024.
According to the Kurdistan Region Parliament’s Media Office, the 19 Consul Generals and Diplomats attending the opening session are as follows:

The agenda for the first parliamentary session is as follows:
First: Opening the session with recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran.
Second: Observing a moment of silence to honor the sacrifices made by the martyrs of Kurdistan.
Third: Calling the oldest elected candidate by the Chief of Diwan of the Kurdistan Parliament to take his oath and chair the session. According to the 2nd Paragraph of Article 11 and 1st Paragraph of Article 12 of the rules and regulations of Parliament, the oldest candidate among the elected members shall chair the first session.
Fourth: The head of the first parliamentary session of the KRG’s Sixth Parliamentary round asks the elected members to take their legal oaths in accordance to the 2nd paragraph of Article 12 of the Kurdistan Parliament Rules and Regulations. Following this procedure, the rest of the session is chaired by the head of the first session.
