Opposition took control of Syria's official radio, television

According to the international media outlets, Syrian former President Bashar al-Assad has fled Damascus by a plane, in the morning of Sunday, December 8th, 2024.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region (Kurdistan 24) – On Sunday, December 8, 2024, the Syrian Opposition announced that it has taken control of Syria's official radio and television and is due to broadcast a message through the official national television station. 

According to the international media outlets, Syrian former President Bashar al-Assad has fled Damascus by a plane, in the morning of Sunday, December 8th, 2024. 

Reuters quoted two official senior army officers "Assad left the country by plane early Sunday", they also warned the Syrian army leadership and officers of the fall of the regime. 

Takbir of Allahu akbar (God is greater) and applause was heard from the minarets of Damascus mosques to express happiness after Bashar Assad's and his regime completely toppled all over the country.

Syrian official online services reported that all flights at Damascus International Airport have been suspended and evacuated.
