PM Masrour Barzani calls for unity on Kurdistan Flag Day ceremony in Erbil

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - On Tuesday, The Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani participated in a special ceremony commemorating Kurdistan Flag Day held at the Erbil Citadel.

During the ceremony, which was also attended by representatives from various religious and national components of the Kurdistan Region, the Prime Minister extended congratulations on Kurdistan Flag Day to the people of Kurdistan, the Peshmerga forces, and the families of martyrs.

He highlighted that the Kurdistan flag is a symbol of struggle and the emblem of their unity, and therefore, every Kurdistani person should uphold this flag with pride.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the region is presently facing rapid changes and complex developments. Consequently, he emphasized the need for all political forces to set aside their differences and stand united in protecting the homeland.

He called for:

1- Becoming a single unified front to confront the challenges and changes in the region

2- Creating an all-inclusive and powerful government that can effectively deal with these challenges

3- Continuing to serve the interests of the Kurdish people

In his closing remarks, the Prime Minister expressed thanks to the people of Kurdistan for their resilience despite the immense pressures they have confronted.

He specifically acknowledged their resoluteness in the face of financial challenges, such as salary and benefit payment delays, which have created an unbearable situation.

Moreover, he expressed gratefulness to the Peshmerga heroes who have always been prepared to sacrifice themselves in defense of their land and remain at the forefront of protection
