Iraqi PM to Make Third Official Visit to Tehran

This visit follows the September 2024 visit of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian to Baghdad, demonstrating the ongoing diplomatic exchanges between the neighboring countries.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – According to an announcement from the Prime Minister's Media Office on Sunday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani is scheduled to conduct an official visit to Tehran on Wednesday, Jan.  8, 2025.

The official statement highlights that the visit will concentrate on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and addressing regional developments.

This visit follows the September 2024 visit of Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian to Baghdad, demonstrating the ongoing diplomatic exchanges between the neighboring countries.

This forthcoming trip will mark al-Sudani's third official visit to Tehran since assuming office.

His previous visits occurred on Nov. 29, 2022, and Nov. 6, 2023, establishing a pattern of regular diplomatic engagement with Iran.
