ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – During a meeting on Thursday in Erbil’s Pirmam district President Masoud Barzani and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) commander-in-chief Mazloum Abdi, emphasized Kurdish unity, according to a statement from Barzani headquarters.

The meeting addressed the situation in Syria, including the latest security and political developments, as well as the general framework for responding to evolving circumstances in the country. They discussed how the Kurdish parties in Syria could take a unified stance.

They emphasized that the Kurdish parties in Syria should determine their own fate without interference and through peaceful means, ensuring their rights in unity and solidarity with the new Syrian government. This approach aims to foster understanding and agreement while contributing to peace and stability, thereby preventing a recurrence of the suffering experienced by the Kurdish people and other communities in Syria.
