The Prime Minister’s visit intends to improve the Kurdistan Region's global presence and attract investment opportunities.
Strengthening International Partnerships
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is set to hold a series of high-level meetings with world leaders, prime ministers, and senior officials during his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos.
These discussions will center on promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the international community.
PM Masrour Barzani’s participation highlights the Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to boosting its global engagement and placing the region as a center for investment and economic growth.
Kurdistan House Activities
The Kurdistan House in Davos, established last year on the Prime Minister's initiative, will also play a vital role in this year’s forum.
The facility will host activities involving Kurdistan’s investors, capitalists, and business owners.
According to Awara Hawrami, the Kurdistan House is hosting presidents, leaders, and delegations from various countries and has expanded its activities this year. Panels featuring Kurdish youth and prominent personalities will focus on promoting the Kurdistan Region's cultural and economic potential.
“The Kurdistan House this year is different, with more opportunities created for discussions and networking with leaders of other countries,” Hawrami said. These interactions are expected to enhance Kurdistan's visibility on the global stage and attract investment.
These events are designed to demonstrate the Kurdistan Region’s economic potential and facilitate trade and investment exchanges with international stakeholders.
Through the Kurdistan House, the KRG aims to introduce the region’s opportunities in sectors such as energy, agriculture, and tourism, promoting it as an appealing destination for global investors.
Elevating the Kurdistan Region's Global Standing
Prime Minister Barzani’s participation at the forum correlates with his broader efforts to boost the Kurdistan Region’s diplomatic and economic profile.
By engaging with influential leaders and decision-makers, the KRG seeks to secure partnerships that will contribute to the region's economic development and expand its integration into the global market.
"Cooperation for a Smart Era"
This year’s WEF theme, " Collaboration for the Intelligent Age," underlines the significance of cooperation and innovation in tackling global challenges.
The KRG’s involvement reflects its commitment to accepting forward-thinking strategies to drive maintainable development, attract foreign investment, and create opportunities for the region’s citizens.
A Platform for Growth
Prime Minister Barzani’s participation at Davos is anticipated to yield palpable results in terms of economic partnerships and enhanced global awareness of the Kurdistan Region’s potential.
As the region continues to enhance its progress in economic diversification and governance, such engagements indicate its preparedness to play a positive role in global economic and diplomatic arenas.
