PM Barzani to attend World Economic Forum in Davos, investors to join
During a press conference, Lihony highlighted Prime Minister Barzani's vision for increased participation of Kurdish investors in the political and economic decision-making processes at the global level.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Hemin Lihony, head of the Initiatives and Strategic Communications Office in the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister's Office, announced on Monday that Prime Minister Masrour Barzani will attend the 55th World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The forum is scheduled to take place on Monday.
During a press conference, Lihony highlighted Prime Minister Barzani's vision for increased participation of Kurdish investors in the political and economic decision-making processes at the global level. He emphasized that, unlike previous years when only politicians participated, the upcoming forum will see investors from the Kurdistan Region actively involved.
According to Lihony, the prime minister will be accompanied to Davos by a delegation of Kurdish investors and businessmen. The delegation includes representatives from prominent companies such as Hemn Group, Kar Group, Hewa Holding, Qaiwan Group, Kolak Group, Empire World—Erbil, South Kurdistan Group, Galiawa Group, Darin Group, Holland Flowers Company, and MJ Holding.
"Kurdistan Region investors and businessmen will actively participate at the Kurdistan House, engaging with international companies and exploring major investment opportunities," Lihony stated.
He further noted that the forum's key focus will be artificial intelligence and the necessity of collaboration between governments and private sector entities. Kurdistan House in Davos will emphasize discussions on AI, investment opportunities, and challenges facing the global economy while seeking international cooperation to advance the Kurdistan Region's economic development.
Additionally, Lihony revealed that Iraqi President Latif Rashid and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein are expected to visit the Kurdistan House during the forum, underlining the significance of the event for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani's attendance at the World Economic Forum reaffirms the Kurdistan Regional Government's commitment to fostering economic growth, attracting foreign investment, and positioning the Kurdistan Region as a key player in the global economic landscape.
