President Masoud Barzani meets KNCS delegation in Erbil

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – President Masoud Barzani received a delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNCS) on Tuesday to discuss political and security developments in Syria, particularly the outcomes of recent Kurdish dialogues and efforts toward intra-Kurdish rapprochement, according to a statement from Barzani Headquarters.
The KNCS delegation, which arrived in the Kurdistan Region on Monday, included prominent members Mohammad Ismail, Faysal Yusuf, Suleiman Oso, Fadla Youssef, and Nimat Dawood. President Barzani officially invited them to the region to foster unity among Kurdish parties in Syria.
During the meeting, President Barzani underscored the importance of cooperation and solidarity among Syrian Kurdish political groups, emphasizing the need for collective action to secure Kurdish rights and stability in the region.
The discussions also covered the recent engagement of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) commander-in-chief Mazloum Abdi with President Barzani, reflecting ongoing efforts for broader Kurdish coordination.
