KNCS, Mazloum Abdi meet to strengthen unity and prepare joint strategy for Damascus

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – In a significant step towards Kurdish unity, the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNCS) held a meeting on Tuesday with Mazloum Abdi, the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The gathering marked an important moment in efforts to strengthen cooperation among Kurdish groups in Syria.

Faysal Yusuf, spokesperson for the KNCS, told Kurdistan24 that their meeting with SDF commander Abdi was “positive.” According to Yusuf, the two parties reaffirmed their dedication to working together as they prepare for future engagements with Damascus.

"Both sides emphasized that the Kurds would go to Damascus with a joint delegation and a common vision," Yusuf stated, highlighting the significance of this shared approach. This collaborative stance reflects a collective effort to advance Kurdish interests in Syria and bolster their representation on the national stage.

The meeting between the KNCS and SDF leadership signals renewed hope for unity among Kurdish political parties and a more coordinated approach to the challenges ahead.
