Drone attack fails to hit target in Erbil province

The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 PM and involved a drone strike directed at a camp housing Kurdish refugees from Iran (Rojhilat). However, authorities confirmed that the drone did not hit its target and ultimately crashed.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – A drone bomb targeting a refugee camp on the slopes of Mount Korek in Erbil province failed to reach its intended target, according to a statement released by the Directorate General of Counter Terrorism (CTD) on Thursday.  

The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 PM and involved a drone strike directed at a camp housing Kurdish refugees from Iran (Rojhilat). However, authorities confirmed that the drone did not hit its target and ultimately crashed.  

No casualties or damages have been reported as a result of the failed attack. Security forces are investigating the incident to determine the origin of the drone and any potential threats.
