Kurdistan Region, Kuwait to strengthen ties
In a significant gesture of diplomatic goodwill, he also extended an invitation to Prime Minister Barzani to visit Kuwait.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Kuwait's Prime Minister Ahmad al-Abdullah al-Sabah on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2025 in Dubai, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, Kuwait’s Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of Emir Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and emphasized his country’s readiness to enhance relations with the Kurdistan Region. In a significant gesture of diplomatic goodwill, he also extended an invitation to Prime Minister Barzani to visit Kuwait.
Discussions focused on boosting cooperation and coordination across various sectors, as both leaders highlighted the importance of fostering closer economic and political collaboration. They also exchanged views on the general situation in Iraq and the latest regional developments, underscoring the importance of dialogue and stability.
The meeting reflects the growing partnership between the Kurdistan Region and Kuwait, signaling a commitment to deeper regional cooperation and mutual development.
