ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – In a crucial diplomatic engagement on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Kurdistan Region President (KRP) Nechirvan Barzani met with H.E. Dr. Mohammed al-Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Friday.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Qatar, the Kurdistan Region, and Iraq as well as addressing regional stability amid the ongoing challenges in the Middle East, particularly in Syria.
The meeting underscored Qatar’s growing diplomatic engagement in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, with both sides expressing a shared commitment to fostering security and economic cooperation.
President Barzani and Minister al-Khulaifi examined the broader geopolitical landscape, emphasizing the need for strengthened ties and constructive dialogue in order to navigate the complex political realities of the region.
