PM Barzani, British Ambassador to Iraq Discuss Regional Developments

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Stephen Hitchen, the British Ambassador to Iraq, in Erbil today on Sunday.
The meeting, which was also attended by Andrew Bizley, the British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, focused on key political and diplomatic issues, including regional stability and the Kurdistan Region's relations with the Federal Government of Iraq.
Discussions covered the broader situation in Iraq and the wider region, with both sides emphasizing the importance of resolving outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Government through constitutional mechanisms.

Another key point of discussion was the formation of the new Kurdistan Regional Government cabinet.
Both parties acknowledged the urgency of establishing a strong, unified, and service-oriented government to effectively address the region’s challenges.
The Prime Minister and Ambassador Hitchen agreed on the need to prioritize reforms and governance improvements to enhance public services and meet the needs of the people of the Kurdistan Region.
