ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – President Masoud Barzani met on Monday with a high-level delegation from three pro-Kurdish parties in Turkey to discuss the ongoing peace process in Turkey and its broader impact on the political landscape and the Kurdish cause across the region, according to a statement from Barzani Headquarters.
The delegation included prominent Kurdish leaders: Mustafa Özçelik, chairman of the Kurdistan Wilatparez Party; Bayram Bozyel, chairman of the Kurdistan Socialist Party; Düzgün Kaplan, leader of the Rights and Freedoms Party; Massoud Tek, deputy leader of the Kurdistan Socialist Party; and Mohammed Shirin Teymur of the Rights and Freedoms Party.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the prospects of the peace process and its significance for regional stability. They also addressed key political and security developments, particularly the evolving situation in Syria. President Barzani provided insights into the current status and future of the Kurdish people, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges they face.
