KRG Council of Ministers discuss salary distribution, oil exports
In a significant step toward financial stability, Prime Minister Barzani directed the Ministry of Finance and Economy to prepare a schedule for the disbursement of February salaries amounting to approximately 958 billion dinars.

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, convened on Wednesday to discuss key economic and social matters. Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and other senior officials were also in attendance.
Salary Distribution for Civil Servants
In a significant step toward financial stability, Prime Minister Barzani directed the Ministry of Finance and Economy to prepare a schedule for the disbursement of February salaries amounting to approximately 958 billion dinars. The salary distribution is set to commence on March 12. Additionally, all ministries and institutions have been instructed to finalize the March salary list and submit it to the Federal Ministry of Finance, ensuring payments are made before the month of Ramadan.
Progress on Kurdistan Region Oil Exports
The Council reviewed the latest developments in oil exports, with Acting Minister of Natural Resources Kamal Mohammad Salih briefing attendees on discussions with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and industry representatives. The Cabinet commended the Ministry of Natural Resources for its efforts to resume oil exports and strengthen cooperation with the Iraqi government. Officials emphasized the importance of completing necessary procedures with the State Organization for Marketing of Oil (SOMO) to facilitate oil exports while ensuring revenues are properly allocated to the Federal Ministry of Finance.
