Mazloum Abdi sends Newroz greetings

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – On Thursday, the commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, extended his warmest wishes to the people of Syria in celebration of Newroz.  

Taking to social media platform X, Abdi congratulated the Kurdish community and all Syrians, emphasizing the spirit of unity among the nation's diverse ethnic groups.  

"I congratulate the Kurdish people and all communities in Syria on Newroz," he wrote, highlighting the importance of solidarity among Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Turkmen, Assyrians, and Armenians.  

He reaffirmed his vision for an inclusive future, stating, "Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Turkmen, Assyrians, and Armenians will protect their achievements in the new Syria. All communities will secure their positions in the new Syria."  

Newroz, a celebration marking the arrival of spring and the Kurdish New Year, holds deep cultural and historical significance across the region, symbolizing resilience, renewal, and hope for the future.
