Hoyle, who invited Kurdistan24 to her residence to discuss the celebration, expressed her support for the Kurdish community by saying, "The celebration of Newroz in Parliament, along with the presence of the Kurdish community at the Speaker's headquarters, exemplifies the attention given to this vibrant and vital community."

The Speaker went on to stress the importance of Newroz, saying it symbolizes more than just the arrival of spring. "It's about respect," Hoyle explained. "I wanted to play my part in providing them with that right."

In his conversation, Hoyle also acknowledged the representation of Kurdish society within the British Parliament, noting, "We see Kurdish MPs in the British Parliament representing Kurdish society and its history. This is a recognition of their contributions and the value they bring to our political system."

Highlighting the importance of unity, Hoyle expressed her commitment to fostering cooperation and mutual respect among all communities. "We want to bring all communities together; it depends on friendship and how we support each other," he said. "As parliamentarians, it’s our responsibility to collaborate and determine how we move forward in the future."

As a token of appreciation for the Speaker's warm embrace of Kurdish culture, Kurdistan24 pledged to Lindsay Hoyle with traditional Kurdish clothing for next year’s Newroz celebrations. The Speaker graciously responded, calling the gesture "generous" and further cementing the bond between the British Parliament and the Kurdish community.
