KRG Ministry of Electricity Announces 24-Hour Power Supply in Duhok Neighborhoods

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – The Ministry of Electricity of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has made significant strides in improving the region's energy infrastructure with the successful implementation of 24-hour electricity in two neighborhoods of Duhok city. As of Thursday, residents of Baroshke and Sarhaldan can now enjoy an uninterrupted power supply, marking a major milestone in the ongoing Runaki project.

This achievement is part of a larger initiative aimed at extending continuous electricity to all neighborhoods within Duhok and beyond. The Ministry has assured the public that similar services will soon be available across the province, further enhancing the quality of life for residents.

The Runaki project, launched by Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, is an ambitious plan to provide 24-hour electricity to all residents of the Kurdistan Region within the next two years. This development promises to be a transformative step toward modernizing infrastructure and improving the daily lives of people throughout the region.
