PM Barzani Congratulates Duhok SC on Historic Gulf Club Champions League Victory

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday extended his congratulations to Duhok Sports Club, following their historic triumph in the AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League.
In a message posted on his official account on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister congratulated the players of Duhok SC, the people of Duhok, and the Kurdistan Region as a whole for the landmark achievement.
"This great victory is a source of pride for us," Barzani wrote, commending the team’s exceptional performance and wishing continued success to all sports clubs across the Kurdistan Region.
Duhok SC secured a dramatic 2–1 win over Kuwait's Qadsia SC in the tournament final, making history as the first Kurdish football club to claim the prestigious Gulf Club Champions League title. The victory has been celebrated widely across the Kurdistan Region, marking a proud moment for Kurdish sports on the international stage.
