ERBIL (Kurdistan24) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel, declaring that at least 100 ballistic missiles have been fired toward central Israel, including the capital, Tel Aviv.
According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC named the operation “True Promise 3”, stating that it targeted multiple high-value sites, including the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Security in Tel Aviv.
The missiles reportedly penetrated deep into Israeli airspace, with Iranian sources claiming several of them reached the heart of Tel Aviv. Air raid sirens echoed across Israel as civilians rushed to shelters in response to the unprecedented assault.
In a televised statement cited by Iranian media, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei declared that Iran has officially entered a state of war with Israel and will "not show tolerance toward anything."
“The vile Zionist regime has started a war and they will not escape the consequences,” Khamenei said, reiterating earlier threats that Iran would deliver “heavy blows” in retaliation for Israeli strikes on Iranian territory earlier this week.
Agence France-Presse (AFP), quoting a senior Israeli army official, confirmed that while some of the Iranian missiles were intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems, others successfully struck targets in central Tel Aviv, causing significant damage.
Israel’s Channel 13 reported a large explosion near the main compound of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, though official casualty and damage assessments have not yet been released.
